  • At a Meeting

Your leaders are always keen to receive extra help from parents. If you have an interesting job or hobby which you can come in and share with the young people please talk a leader. Or if you just want to help out let us know.

  • Help with Fundraising

We are fortunate to have only one major fundraiser every year – the Turkey Trot half marathon in and around Keyworth.  We ask parents to volunteer one morning of your time to support this amazing event – that’s got to be better than any number of jumble sales, car washes and other miscellaneous fundraisers!  Email : enquiry@turkeytrot.org.uk to find out how you can help.  You can find full details about the race at the Turkey Trot website.

  • Executive Committee

Would you consider giving up a little time more regularly?  The Scout Executive (Parents’) Committee is tasked with maintaining the hut, fundraising, and supporting the uniformed sections. We are a friendly group of people who are always looking for new ideas. If you’d like to find out more let us know via our contact page or come along to one of our meetings.

  • Become a Leader

Are you keen to inspire young people to appreciate the outdoors, improve their team working skills, become active members of their community and generally have fun? If so then you are in luck.  At Keyworth Scout Group, we always welcome the fresh ideas that new leaders can bring to a section.  We believe in the saying ‘many hands make light work’, hence we like to develop a team approach to leadership within each of our sections.  If you are interested in joining the adventure then you can either speak to a current leader or get in touch via our contact page.  We look forward to hearing from you.

How we store personal data

We are committed to the protection of personal information. We generally store personal information in one of two secure digital online database systems where access to that data is restricted and controlled.

Online Scout Manager is an online membership system run by Online Youth Manager Ltd. This is a secure membership database where we store the personal information of adults and youth members for the day to day running of the group. Our leadership team use their own computers, tablets and mobile phones to access Online Scout Manager.

When attending a large-scale Scouting event we are sometimes required to share personal information to event organisers via their own online systems. Examples include County and District camps.
