This years Remembrance Sunday was held on the 9th November with an Act of Remembrance at the Memorial Gates and a service at St Mary Magdalene Church. The Group was well attended with Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and leaders in attendance. Everyone met at the Hut at 10.30 am in full uniform with a poppy before making their way to the Memorial Gates. The Scouts provided the guard of honour at the gates with a large turnout of people who managed to stop the cars on the main road. The last post was played before the congregation made their way into the church for a service of remembrance. Our own Group Leader, Richard, read one of the readings.
Well done to all those young people who attended at this was poignant year marking the start of the Great War, Word War I.
